Once again, Serbian universities were ranked high on the Global Ranking of Academic Subjects, published by the Shanghai Ranking. The Shanghai Ranking, also known as the Academic Ranking of World Universities, is a well-known global university ranking system for evaluating higher education institutions and academic disciplines. Each year they rank both world universities and the academic subjects they offer.
In their ranking they use indicators such as the number of alumni and staff winning Nobel prizes and fields medals, number of highly cited researchers, research articles published in Nature Science, articles indexed in the SCIE and SSCI as well as the per capita academic performance.
