Erasmus+

Erasmus+ is an EU-funded programme supporting education, training, youth, and sport initiatives for 2021–2027. It provides students with opportunities to enhance their academic and professional skills through mobility. Under Erasmus+, students can spend a period studying or undertaking a traineeship abroad at a host institution or workplace, broadening their horizons and fostering international collaboration. Students eligible for Erasmus+ mobility must have completed at least two semesters of studies and be enrolled at a higher education institution participating in the programme. Erasmus exchange students are exempt from paying tuition fees for their studies and traineeships, and there are some grants available to help with living costs.

Types of Erasmus+ Mobility

The programme offers several types of mobility to suit different academic and professional goals:

  • Study Period Abroad: Spend a semester or academic year studying at a partner university.
  • Traineeship Abroad: Gain practical experience through an internship or work placement relevant to your field of study.
  • Combined Mobilities: Combine a study period with a traineeship abroad.
  • Short-Term Doctoral Mobility: Pursue study or traineeship opportunities for a shorter duration during doctoral studies.
  • Blended Intensive Programmes: Participate in a mix of physical and virtual mobility activities focused on collaborative learning.
