Every year, the Center for World University Rankings (CWUR) publishes the World University Rankings as well as Subject Rankings. When ranking, they keep different criteria in mind such as education and faculty quality, research performance and alumni employment.
This year 21.462 institutions were ranked and those that place at the top made the Global 2000 list.
University of Belgrade is in the top 1.9% of best universities in the world. It ranks 387 out of 21.462 universities. The university is also in the 151st spot in Europe and ranks number 1 in Serbia.
University of Novi Sad is in the top 5.3% in the world being in the 1121st spot. In Europe it is in the 408th spot and in the 2nd one in Serbia.
University of Kragujevac and University of Niš are in the top 10% as well, with the University of Kragujevac being in the 7.3% and the University of Niš in the 8.5% percentile.
