Serbia's Sports Education Triumph: Universities Rank Among Top 300 Worldwide in ShanghaiRanking of Sport Science Schools and Departments

Three faculties from the University of Belgrade, University of Niš, and University of Novi Sad have secured positions among the top 300 sports faculties globally, according to the ShanghaiRanking for 2023. 

The Global Ranking of Sport Science Schools and Departments by ShanghaiRanking was first published in 2016 in accordance with the unique methodology that highlightes the performance of more than 300 universities with sport-related units. The Global Ranking allows sport-related institutions and units to compare with similar peers other than with multi-disciplinary universities in a certain subject.  

According to the 2023’s ShangaiRanking, Serbian sports faculties earn prestigious spots among global.  

The Faculty of Sport and Physical Education in Niš claimed an impressive placement between 151st and 200th, while the sport faculties in Belgrade and Novi Sad secured positions between 201st and 300th. 

This recognition not only highlights the academic excellence of Serbian sports education but also emphasizes the international collaboration and impact of their research in the field.
