Application round for the CEEPUS program of academic exchange for 2023/2024 is open

The call for CEEPUS network mobility applications for the upcoming academic 2023-2024 is now open. CEEPUS provides students and academic staff from eligible universities and colleges with the opportunity to apply for a university exchange abroad.

National CEEPUS Office in Serbia is inviting interested students and teaching staff from the CEEPUS participating countries to apply for a CEEPUS mobility in Serbia. Furthermore, international students and academic staff who are not citizens of a CEEPUS member country, currently studying or working at public higher education institutions in Serbia, are also welcomed to apply for mobility at a CEEPUS member state. However, before applying, those candidates will need to obtain a document called the “Equal status” document. More information can be found on the CEEPUS website. The deadline for application is 31st of October 2023. for Network Mobility in the second/summer semester.

Students and teaching staff interested to apply for the Freemover Mobility within the CEEPUS program can send their application not later then 30th of November 2023. The Freemover call and the deadline applies to students and teaching staff from CEEPUS universities who are eligible for mobilities outside of existing CEEPUS networks.

There are three types of CEEPUS student mobility, applicable for both Network and Freemover candidates:

  • Student: credit mobility for students who have completed at least two semesters of studies. The minimum length of this mobility type is three months;

  • Short-term student: for students working on their thesis/dissertation, allows stays shorter than three months;

  • Short-term excursion: for participants of short group mobilities such as CEEPUS summer or winter schools, the maximum length is six days.

The minimum length for academic staff/teacher mobility is 5 working days. During that period, the teaching staff is requested to have six teaching/supervising hours per working week. Academic staff always choose the Teacher category when applying, and that is applicable for both Network and Freemover candidates, regardless of the duration of mobility.

In order to apply, both Network and Freemover candidates should register via the CEEPUS platform, where they fill in and submit an online application.

Freemover candidates are reminded to attach additional documents to their online application: letter of acceptance, signed by the host institution (applies to both students and academic staff candidates), as well as two letters of recommendation from their home institution (applies to student candidates only). Forms can be found under the DOWNLOADS section of the CEEPUS platform.
